all of the upvotes reset to zero when i clicked on the post. not sure why, it's possible it was deleted yet still visible for a short time. i specifically remember seeing 14k as the number but unfortunately that archive was the best i could do.
it does at least pick up on all of the awards and most of the comments.

if you visit the post now, it looks like this.

over three times as many comments and for some reason 59 upvotes. it has many more awards though, much more than a post with 59 upvotes normally would. not entirely sure why this is the case and what even happened that allowed me to archive it in time.

Edit: I think part of what fascinates me is the huge disconnect between the random twitter TRAs, and the people whose job it is to think about this kind of thing for a living (and who therefore have a better sense of the reality of the situation).

There is clearly a lot of money going into this stuff from the top (as the existence and scope of the Transgender Law Center shows) and Ryan Grim's video itself talked about how some pro-trans laws were accomplished by lobbying politicians behind the scenes and then slipping in law changes secretly without widespread public knowledge.

And yet the average Twitter AGP does not seem to grasp any of that, and thinks that all the privileges he has suddenly received in the last few years are just a natural occurrence, and that things are just going to keep progressing in the same way no matter what (because that is what has happened so far!), so there is no need to tread carefully. There is a real "born on third base and thinks he hit a home run" feeling to all of it.

There is a thing such as trauma.
