Crime Joggers being raycist against Asians megathread

I was about to post a couple more articles on Asians getting beat/murdered by Joggers but realized it’s becomes such a common occurrence in MAGA country, ie Chicago, Detroit, New York, etc., that it’s probably best to make a mega thread instead.

Look out for articles that mention an Asian was attacked but is mum about the ethnicity of the attacker. They could be anyone, but it’ll be interesting to track.

Friends and community members gathered on Wednesday evening to light candles and leave notes and flowers in an area in Hyde Park where a University of Chicago graduate was shot and killed during a robbery.

What happened: On Tuesday, Shaoxiong “Dennis” Zheng, 24, was on the sidewalk on the 900 block of East 54th Place, an area known as a neighborhood of doctors and professors, before 2 p.m., when the deadly attempted robbery occurred, CBS Chicago reported.

  • Witnesses recalled seeing a man with a mask in a black hooded sweatshirt get out of a car that pulled up to where Zheng was walking. A brief struggle ensued before the suspect fatally shot Zheng in the chest, according to Chicago Tribune.
  • The suspect immediately fled in a dark-colored sports car. It was not made clear if the gunman managed to take anything from Zheng during the incident.
  • A doctor, who wished to remain anonymous, told Chicago Tribune he was "a few minutes too late" when he attempted to provide first aid to Zheng. "It all happened pretty fast. I did maybe 30 chest compressions, and the paramedics were already here," he said.
  • Emergency responders took Zheng to the nearby University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:13 p.m., which the university confirmed through a statement on Tuesday.
  • The university said it had spoken with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Chicago Police Supt. David Brown and other members of the mayor’s team about the wave of violence that has hit the community recently.
  • The Chinese American Association at Greater Chicago has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help Zheng's family travel from China to the U.S. The crowdfunding campaign has a $25,000 goal but has already raised more than $38,000 as of this writing.

The aftermath: Community members gathered and held a vigil in the area where Zheng was murdered on Wednesday. Some students also reflected on the tragic event that brought fear to those living in Hyde Park.

  • “I remember him because he's always willing to help others,” a student named Xi told CBS Chicago. “I kind of feel connected because we’re both from China, and I can totally understand it’s really hard for the family. I can’t imagine what would happen to my parents if they just received a call that says, ‘Your daughter has been…’ I just feel connected and really sad.”
  • Mei Wang, director of the statistics master’s program, described Zheng as a “motivated, independent and intellectually curious” student. He received his master’s degree in statistics in July.
  • “He aspired to be a data scientist who could solve important problems facing our society, and who could help people to help more people,” Wang told Chicago Sun-Times.
  • The victim “was not only a promising scholar but also a wonderful person, always willing to help other students,” Professor Dan Nicolae said. “He will be missed by all who knew him.”
  • “We feel this is really, really probably the worst year for U of Chicago,” a woman told Chicago Sun-Times. “We feel we have to do something, you just cannot let it go on forever.”

The violence: Hyde Park has seen five murders this year and at least 16 shooting incidents, according to police data.

  • “The five murders in Hyde Park this year are shocking and demand action, but we also must not lose sight of the fact that there are many other neighborhoods in the city that year after year suffer many more homicides and shootings — and that too should be shocking,” Roseanna Ander, executive director of the University of Chicago Crime Lab and Education Lab, said.
  • The city saw 336 homicide cases for the first half of 2021, which is two more than the same period in 2020 and 33% more than the 252 cases in 2019, NBC Chicago reported. There were also 1,892 shootings through June 28, from the beginning of the year.

Who's fucking fault is that I wonder.? You care more about some shitty neighborhoods than your fucking wealthy neighborhoods where you get most of your tax-revenue from.

If all these damn white ppl could just let the negress qwayne piss on them they wouldn't be out murdering all of these Asians.

Anyone who gets killed in the worst neighborhood in the city was asking for it by just being there, and anyone killed in any neighborhood statistically better than the worst was also asking for it by making it a better place and therefore a more tempting target....... and in any case, the criminals were the real victims, ask yourself what did you do (or rather, NOT do) that made their life so hard they had no choice but to rob you for sustenance?

Homicide is never just homicide.. .you have to apply your diversity and inclusion multipliers to it to figure out who suffered most, aside from the poor oppressed mugger.

Yes, actual policy-making institutions THINK THIS in CURRENT YEAR.

What in the name of cope is this statement? Five people may have gotten killed in this park, but just remember the other parks have even more murders happening regularly...which we have no idea how to deal with either. I almost wonder if they said this because the guy was asian and they were worried about blacks getting hurt fee fees because they have shootings too.

According to this article the suspect is 18 year old Alton Spann. His picture was posted above by another user. He is being charged with first degree murder, armed robbery and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. For all of this Spann stole Zheng’s electronics and pawned them for $100.

Man charged with murder of University of Chicago graduate killed in Hyde Park shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man is charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a recent University of Chicago graduate in Hyde Park Tuesday.

Shaoxiong Zheng, who went by Dennis according to his friends, was near the U of C campus in the 900-block of East 54th Place Tuesday afternoon when a man got out of a car, pulled a gun, and demanded the 24-year-old's property.

The man then opened fire, shooting the victim in the chest, police said. Then the shooter got back in the car and fled west on 54th Place.

Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown announced Friday that Alton Spann, 18, has been charged with first degree murder, armed robbery and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon in Zheng's death.

After allegedly committing armed robbery and murder, police said Spann pawned his victim's stolen electronics for just $100.

"Just let that sink in: $100 for Mr. Zheng's and his family's grief," Chicago Police Supt. David Brown said.

After 24-year-old Dennis Zheng was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon on a Hyde Park sidewalk, police said various cameras near the crime scene as well as license plate reader technology helped them identify the alleged getaway vehicle, a stolen Ford Mustang, and the 18-year-old Spann as the driver.

"We had numerous videos of him going into the vehicle, and he was the driver of the vehicle from, we had video we recovered from right just down the block from the homicide," Chicago Police Lt. James McGovern said.

When Spann was arrested the day after the shooting, police said he was carrying the key fob from the Mustang, as well as two firearms - one of which has been linked to Zheng's shooting. Spann's clothing was also collected as evidence.

"Based on the videos collected, Mr. Spann was wearing the same clothing from the same time of the murder at the same time he was arrested," Chicago Police Dep. Chief Rahman Muhammad said.

As for Zheng's electronics that were pawned for $100, police said they were recovered from a store that Spann was seen on video entering not long after the shooting.

"Video was a key evidence to solving this case," McGovern said.

Spann is the only person charged in this case, but police say they continue to investigate whether others might have been involved.

"He had just gotten his driver's license; he was in a new relationship. He had the whole world in front of him, and this happened," said Nick Jackson, friend.

Jackson lived in the same apartment building as his friend near campus, and said residents there have grown close.

"We're a community here of individuals. We have no uncles or cousins. We were each other's support," he said.

The investigation remains ongoing and Chicago police are asking anyone with further information to reach out. Anonymous tips are welcome.

Which micro-aggressions did the systemically privileged cishet honorary-white Zheng commit in order to trigger and provoke this otherwise innocent and peaceful future doctor into defensively attacking him?

Any guess as to what the $100 will be spent on? Funko pops? KFC chicken? A cheap Goodwill dress, terrible wig, and lipstick?

When he was arrested, Spann was also wearing the same clothes he was in at the time of the shooting, police said. Muhammad said one of the two weapons Spann had with him matched what was used to kill Zheng in broad daylight.
Dumb motherfucker thought he wasn't gonna get caught. Or maybe he just didn't give a fuck.

I've heard Chicago niggers have this fatalistic expectation of not living past 25. Does that play a role in how the chimpouts are so brazen in those parts? How do you even fix this shit without planning a genocide in Minecraft?

Still feel bad for the guy, though. Imagine working your arse off for years at uni to get your degree only to be killed by a nig so that he can pawn your stuff off for a hundred bucks.
At this point, I'd say living and working in Chicago is an occupational hazard.
