Been seeing some dumbasses arguing on twitter that Kyle was being an idiot for going there and being willing to defend himself, so I get where you might be coming from. Same thing happened with Portland protests where a lot of right wingers treated it as the right wingers bringing it on themselves to go there when they know they'd get attacked.

Here though the defense and even prosecutor have done pretty well of painting this as a pure self defense case and it's hard to see how Kyle would be found guilty. In spite of that, we probably will see the more blackpilled political commentators and their fans acting like Kyle made a mistake with defending himself as he did because they think no one should counter any of those riots.

This trial is a good argument for why Judges should have more power to veto bullshit. In any pen and paper game a Rules Lawyer can and will drag the game to a halt for their own bullshit. That's not fun for other players. Part of my job as a GM is to provide fun. I gotta respect other people's time as they chose to spend 5 or more hours a week with me doing this. So I ask that of every player to every other player. That means if a rules lawyer starts trying to Jew me about some interpretation of the rules in some obscure book. I just tell them that's not how I'm going to do it. End of discussion. We're here to have fun. Not be Jews. (Unless that's your character in which case more power to you but Jews aren't a valid class in DnD. Just be a wizard.)

I like the Judge here a lot and I know a lot of eyes are on him. But I sometimes wonder if he could've put his foot down more to move the trial along. The Prosecution is clearly making several bad faith arguments and repeating themselves. Can't the Judge at least ask them to stop asking the same questions over and over?

The Defense and Prosecution have been arguing with the Judge over what charges should be passed to the Jury to decide on. That's about all, the Prosecution from what I've followed has lost all of the arguments so far, and they're continuing to lose.
