I see two different outcomes coming from that if Kat asked for one:
1. The poor orderly listening to the mile-long list of things Kat can't read due to her triggers and squicks, then subsequent trouble finding a book that meets those requirements.
2. She gets a book, starts reading, then writes an angry post over... I dunno, a heterosexual romantic subplot between two characters. Something small and stupid.

Last time I was in the hospital I was so exhausted I just slept through my entire visit there. Definitely sounds like poor management on her part, she is definitely there because of neglecting to take care of herself as other kiwis have stated.
If she has rolling veins that are such a huge issue, that means she's dehydrated, which is her own damn fault. Before you get blood drawn you're supposed to drink plenty of water so it's easier to get blood from your veins.
She could be browsing tumblr/the farms on 3G instead of using wifi.

Depending on the hospital the bracelet could just simply show what cis wrote in the submission forms.

I think it's required to put down the sex you were born as, as the physiology differs from males and females. Like for example, heart attack signs and symptoms differ in each sex. So it may just be there for medical records and proper care.
Even with hormone therapy, the body isn't 100% the opposite sex in physiology. They're just doing it for safety reasons. They're not doing it to be transphobic or anything.

What makes me suspicious about the armband is that it is lacking the parenthesized name from her pill bottles; both are legally bound to her, and as such, should probably match up. She also wishes to change her name, but she seems to have already done so - why else would her band say "Adele"? This may just be me, but the lack of a comma between her last and first name also seems wrong; it should read "SHEFFIELD, ADELE". However, this may just be how they write armbands in Georgia. I would not know.

Nope. This transwoman complained and they switched the bracelet to F. I'm sure MTF was noted on their file, of course, but their sex status was changed in their documentation.
Also penises are female so you don't need to put "male" for any reason, even to doctors, in some people's minds.
(Side note: it's only within very recent history that medical science has recognized that female physiology needs to be categorized separately in studies. )
